Our products contains many vitamins which naturally occurs in donkey milk. One of the vitamins that donkey milk is enriched with is vitamin A. Vitamin A also known as retinol which stimulates the production of new skin cells. Without it, skin can become overly dry. Vitamin A is found in foods from animal sources, including dairy products, fish, and meat (especially liver). The top sources of provitamin A include carrots, broccoli, cantaloupe, and squash. Vitamin A helps to speed up healing, prevent breakouts and support the skin’s immune system and it promotes natural moisturizing – which means it helps to hydrate the skin effectively, giving it a radiant glow. It assists in promoting and maintaining a healthy dermis and epidermis; the top two layers of your skin. Vitamin A’s ability to normalize how cells functions. This means it is able to influence cells to behave in a younger, healthier way, leaving skin looking youthful and more radiant. It helps to improve problematic skin conditions such as acne by helping to normalize oil production. Leaving the skin less oily and more balanced. It also helps to normalize the appearance of pigmentations. It does so by normalizing the activity of tyrosinase which is an enzyme that plays a vital role in the production of melanin.

Our products also contain vitamin B1, B2 and B6. These can be found in the same sources as vitamin A. Examples are dairy products, fish, meat, chicken and dark green vegetables such as spinach and kale. B vitamins are important for making sure the body’s cells are functioning properly. They help the body convert food into energy (metabolism), create new blood cells, and maintain healthy skin cells, brain cells, and other body tissues. But what does vitamin B do when apply to the skin? Well, vitamin B is an antioxidant that helps to treat signs of ageing and alleviate sensitive skin. Vitamin B1 (thiamine) helps boost collagen production and aids in skin revitalization. Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) B2 aids cell turnover and collagen maintenance, which protects the structural integrity of your skin, reduces inflammation, and speeds wound healing. It also helps with mucus secretion in the skin, thus preventing the dryness that leads to oil production (and therefore acne) and improves zinc absorption, another important mineral for skin health. B2 can help improve skin tone and make skin more radiant. Lastly, vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) has been believed to be essential for skin development and maintenance. It also helps diminish the effects of hormonal imbalance, which can lead to acne breakouts. Use B6 to take on hormonal acne, inflammation and redness.

Did you know that your body does not produce vitamin A, B and C by itself? The only way to get it, is through supplements or your diet — citrus fruits like oranges are famously rich in vitamin C. While you can certainly eat your way to a healthy vitamin C intake, your skin in particular reaps the biggest benefits when it’s applied topically versus via an oral supplement or your diet, no many how much grapefruit you eat. Topically, it’s 20 times more potent than the oral intake. So what are the benefits of vitamin C when applied on your skin? vitamin C promotes collagen production, which has the potential to thicken the dermis, diminish fine lines, and is essential for firm, youthful skin. On top of that, vitamin C is an antioxidant, meaning it protects skin cells from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure.

It also inhibits melanin production in the skin, which helps to lighten hyperpigmentation and brown spots, even out skin tone, and enhance skin radiance. Finally, vitamin C helps to repair damage from sun exposure and collagen loss by encouraging healthy cell turnover and regeneration.
